A solid pewter Lunular pendant ("little moon") that is based on one from the Viking period and found in Novgorod, Russia. This was a popular motif in the East and was not as common in the West during the Viking period. It is set with a glass cabochon. This traditional female talisman was believed to harness the power of the Moon and help fertility, strengthen marriage ties, heal female ailments, enhance sensuality, and protect from jinxes and the evil eye.
