This pretty solid pewter pendant depicts Freya (Old Norse for Lady), the goddess of war, love, marriage and childbirth. The pendant is a copy of an original that was found in Sweden and dated to the Viking period. Freya is a practitioner of Seidr, a form of Norse magic. Given her expertise in controlling and manipulating the desires, health, and prosperity of others, her knowledge and power are almost without equal among the Gods. She also presides over the afterlife realm Folkvang, and chooses half of the warriors slain in battle to dwell there.
